Part Time Senior Information Officer

To commence 2^nd March 2010 

 £32,202 - £35,124 pa pro rata

 Headquarters, Corporate Development Department

 22 hours per week

 Take a lead in ensuring Essex Police complies with the Data Protection Act 1998 and Freedom of Information Act 2000, providing expert advice, quality assurance and guidance on the application of Data Protection and Freedom of Information requirements on Essex Police activity. Develop and manage policy and procedures; develop and implement compliance training and awareness; and undertake, oversee and assist in compliance testing and investigations, as well as resolve information disputes. Co-manage a team of four Information Officers, whose main role is to handle requests for information made under the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts, required by Court Orders or needed for civil litigation purposes.
