    Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit a vibrant, experienced and knowledgeable manager to lead Information Governance and Freedom of Information and the health records agenda across our large mental health trust.

    We have many data sharing, data protection and Freedom of Information requests from all levels of staff, partners and the public. The post holder will be the repository of expert advise, oversee the reporting and learning from information incidents, manage requests for information, work closely with partners and lead the dissemination and awareness raising of information governance matters.

    A practical, results driven Information Asset Manager is required to ensure that the impact of sound information governance and health records is evident across the Trust and in line with best industry practice and Department of Health guidance.

    You will:
    build relationships with Trust-wide management and service users as well as third parties involved in the governance processes.
    need in-depth knowledge of confidentiality, data quality, data protection, information security, clinical/ corporate records management and freedom of information across healthcare.
    manage Information Governance with a strong, patient and service improvement focus and also provide high level Information guidance across the Trust, whilst working in partnership with other health, social care and external agencies to expand information sharing agreements.
    Lead on the implementation of the Health Records Strategy

    The responsibilities of the post will include leading the Trust’s self-assessment using the Information Governance Audit Toolkit and leading the implementation of action plans to ensure compliance with good governance practice.
